Open day & other events for new members

This year as well as the open day itself on Sunday 26th April, the club will be trialing various other dates when members of the public can pop along and have a go at bowls.. Full details of the exact dates will be posted on here and the rink diary after the fixture list for season comes out, but the idea is to run some 2 hour slots both during the weekdays & weekends to give prospective new bowlers the chance to attend if they cannot make the actual Open day itself.. they can off course attend the friday socials as well, but intro/coaching becomes trickier on this night due to the large number of members usually already playing.. The dates will be posted in the "whats on in Bovey App" and on our new facebook page in due course..

To make the 2 hour slots work, I or another member of the coaching team will be in attendance on the chosen dates but will need some help from a couple of existing members, should we get any "newbies" attending... If nobody turns up we can make it a roll up or coaching session to suit the attendees present if they so wish..
