Committee Vacancy..

I was asked a number of times at the bbq the other day if I was putting myself forward again for the website/rink diary role...

After much thought this year I have decided to relinquish the post on the committee for various reasons, so I am sending this out to allow as much time as possible for a new colleague to consider the role and apply.

I will of course walk through both aspects of the website and rink diary usage to enable a smooth takeover of the duties involved to the successful applicant and if anyone perhaps thinking of applying has any questions re the tasks before applying you can ask me in strictest confidence.

Some of you may already know that I am taking my next level coaching badge later this year and if successful would like to devote my future time in that sphere to the benefit of the club. I can state that I am still fully committed to Bovey Tracey Bowling Club.

Finally can I add, that I am very very proud of some of the things that myself and other committee members have pushed through during my 3 years “at” the table.... To name a few of the achievements : Our finances are now in a much healthier position..: Our use of “tech” both in house and to the wider public....: Our establishment of a much needed “fundraising” team... Improvements in coaching/advice (lots more to come on that next year!!)... Improvements in keeping people informed of club matters... and lastly but not least our fantastic eagerly awaited verandah/balcony which is on schedule to be completed mid/late autumn.

To the committee members who have had to put up with me extending meetings in the AOB section I do not apologise, as I believe it was worth it.. There has been plenty of debates/disagreements... but I,ve enjoyed every minute (well mostly) But I intend to remain a “pain” on occasions through the websites suggestion box etc.
