Opening of the green 2025

Many thanks to all who attended the above yesterday, we were blessed with a decent day weather wise & a healthy turnout.

Special thanks to Chris Shorland for getting the green ready for yesterday following what has been a trying winter following extensive drainage repairs to the clubhouse end of the green. I know my rink played fine & others said they had no complaints so congratulations again to Chris...

5 rinks were in use & the annual hotly contrested opening event of the season "the spider" (thanks to Heidi for organising) was won by Chris Towle (well done son!!!) " everyone appeared to have a great afternoon.

Great to see some of our new members in attendance (welcome to Tina & Amy) & we hope to sign up Elizabeth asap following a brief but highly promising debut.

Chris did a sterling job with the raffle, but sadly pulled out all the wrong tickets so the prizes were won by the usual suspects...

Thanks also to Sue J & Chris S for sorting out refreshment at half time.

So, thats the season underway, please get your name down for as many fixtures as possible, & get practicing...
