Unusually, there were no Mid Devon League matches for the men nor South Devon for the ladies this week so this report begins with two fixtures in the Men's Over 55s, both at home. Against Dawlish Marina, Bovey's X team won both rinks by an aggregate of 57 shots to 21, gaining eight league points to nil. D Anderson, C Miall, P Joy 36-7; L Fullbrook, J Richards, N Fletcher 21-14.
In the Y team match, Bovey faired less well, losing both rinks by a total of 27 shots to 41 after starting strongly against Bitton Park who gained eight league points to Bovey's nil. A Chew, P Cridge, R Bailey 12-23; D Cosway, S Perry, K Breame 15-18.
In their latest Ladies Triples Challenge home match against Marina, Bovey managed a draw and a loss resulting in them recording one point to Marina's seven. S Davies, L Brothwood, R Young 12-23; J Ellis, L Cridge, S Breame 15-15.
A mixed triples friendly at Chagford resulted in a good win for Bovey by three rinks to one and by 76 shots to 54. L Cridge, T Smith, A Franklin 22-6; A Chew, J Ellis, P Cridge 13-19; S Davies, N Fletcher, H Call 22-11; P Fletcher, M Bolt, K Lockett 19-18.
In the County MIxed Pairs, Kenny and Sarah Breame won 15-9 against David Blandford and D Coyles of Marina and in the Over 70s Men's Pairs, Andy Walding and Keith Lockett reached the section final after winning 18-10 against Norman Howells and Barry Mears from Shaldon and 15-12 against Tom Archer and Andrew Wilkinson of Abbrook Park.

Ladies' four woods- Lynn Cridge 2-23 Heidi Call; Sue Johnson 21-1 Ellie Hurrell. Ladies' two woods- Annette Isaaks 24-2 Ellie Hurrell.
Ladies' handicap- Julie Chew 7-21 Sarah Breame; Heidi Call 23-11 Yvonne Stanford. Ladies' pairs- Tina & Kath Callard 20-14 Barb & Chris Towle.
Ley Cup- Lucy Brothwood 2 sets - 0 Lynn Cridge; Alastair Franklin 2 sets - 0 Arthur Chew.
