Last 2 winter friendly results

Message from Keith.. The final two Derwent matches of the winter indoor season produced another mixed bag of contrasting results for our teams.

On 18th against a resident group of indoor bowlers from Hampshire, we won one and lost one;

Arthur, David C, Andrew and Alastair won by 11 shots to 10

Dick, Terry, Christina and Keith lost by 9 shots to 11

On 23rd against residents from Hertfordshire, we achieved a similar result;

Michael, Terry, Roger and Sue J won by 10 shots to 8

Arthur, Dick, Kath and Keith lost by 2 shots to 15

Just one final Torquay session this Friday 27th before we start looking forward optimistically to the outdoor season with the green opening on 11th

April.

A big thank you from the winter captains to all those who have stepped in and played the games, well done to all, on what is an alien surface to many. We have certainly held our heads high on most occasions...Chin up Keith...LOL.... and a big thanks to you for keeping me and thus the web users informed of our progress... or lack of..!!!
